Applying CSS classes to my div element

Check out the following code snippet:

<div class="page-template-default logged-in"></div>

I am trying to apply a class like this:

.page-template-default .logged-in {
}

However, it doesn't seem to work. Any idea why?

Answer №1

Make sure your selector does not contain any spaces in between.

.page-template-default.logged-in {

 }

This is an example of a chained class selector.

Answer №2

Be sure to add a comma in the following code snippet:

.section-template-custom, .user-registered {
}
