Ensuring accessibility on websites is a top priority for me, with our goal being at least AA standard. We utilize tools like and to test the contrast between background colors and black or white text.
For example, let's consider white (#fff) text at a font size of 18px. Color one: #546FAF has a contrast ratio of 4.92 Color two: #B349B1 has a contrast ratio of 4.66
If I were to create a linear gradient between these two colors as a background, would white text at 18px remain accessible? I've attempted to choose colors close to the text during the gradient transition, but I'm hopeful that it will never fall below the 4.5 ratio threshold.
Thank you!
