HTML does not occupy the entire width of the page

I'm struggling with an issue on my website where the <html> element doesn't span full width on mobile devices.

Currently, I am using Bootstrap and Jquery for my website.

If you have any insights on what may be causing this problem, please let me know.

Thank you!

Answer №1

It appears that your viewport settings may be causing the issue. To fix this, you can include the following meta tag in the head section of your website:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

If you need more information on how the Viewport meta tag works, you can refer to this helpful MDN page.

Answer №2

I have identified the root cause of the problem

<div class="container">
  <div class="row"> <!--this is causing negative margin.-->
    <div class="col-x-*">

    </div>
  </div>
</div>

It is essential to follow this structure when utilizing bootstrap.
