max-height: 100px;
overflow: hidden; <!--some color change-->
text-overflow: ellipsis;
This solution is effective.
Using this technique will only work with text.

This CSS property specifically targets content that exceeds the boundaries of a block container element in its horizontal direction (as opposed to text overflowing at the bottom of a box, for example). Text overflow occurs when text cannot wrap properly (e.g., due to 'white-space: nowrap') or if a single word is too long to fit within its container.
.truncate {
width: 250px;
white-space: nowrap;
overflow: hidden;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
border: 1px solid #ddd;
}
