When there are spaces in the button, it will result in the button creating a new line within the Navbar

There is a line break in the navbar when a space is added to the button text

The CSS for the Navbar is manually inputted (Utilizes Bootstrap)

Answer №1

Your code may be a bit complex to follow, but I have put together a snippet below that organizes and cleans up your original code for better understanding.

Take a look at the revised version and let me know if this aligns with what you were trying to achieve:

<img src="images/SCP_Logo.jpg" style='width: 100%; max-width:100%;'>
<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar navbar-dark bg-dark sticky-top">
   <a class="navbar-brand" >SCP Foundation</a>
   <button class="navbar-toggler" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarSupportedContent" aria-controls="navbarSupportedContent" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">
       <span class="navbar-toggler-icon">Your problem button</span>
   </button>
   <button type="button" onclick="TextToSpeech()" class="btn navButton" style="margin-left: 1%;"> Pause </button>
   <button type="button" onclick="TextToSpeech()" class="btn navButton" style="margin-left: 1%;"> Stop </button>
</nav>

Answer №2

Swap out your issue button with

<button type="button" onclick="TextToSpeech() " class="btn navButton" style="margin-left: 1%; width: 200px;">The Issue Button</button>

You have the flexibility to modify the width:200px property to suit your preferences.

Answer №3

I have successfully resolved the problem I was facing. It turns out that by adding a margin-left to the button in order to space them apart, it was causing the text to shift to the next line. Removing the margin-left has corrected this issue.

The main culprit was the margin-left property affecting the alignment of the text within the buttons.

<button type="button" onclick="TextToSpeech() " class="btn navButton" > TextToSpeech </button>
