What causes the variation in the appearance of the navigation bar across different pages?

I'm struggling to understand why the Navigation bar has extra padding or margin on top only on certain pages, while it looks fine on the Homepage.

I've dedicated countless hours to this issue and I am feeling completely frustrated.

If you'd like to view the site, please click here.

Try clicking on "About Us" or a blog post and you'll notice the change. The CSS of this template seems jumbled to me, making it difficult to pinpoint what's causing the discrepancy on other pages.

I am hopeful that someone can provide assistance.

Thank you in advance, J

Answer №1

Within the #header section of your website, there are specific h1 and h2 tags present on the main homepage. The h1 tag contains plain text, but upon navigating to the "About Us" page, these tags switch to h2 and h3. The h2 heading now includes an anchor element which causes a shift in the menu positioning due to padding. To resolve this issue, change the h2 back to an h1 on the "About Us" page for proper alignment. Alternatively, adjustments can be made in the CSS to modify the padding or margins on these elements.

Answer №2

By specifying h3 margin: 0; in your CSS file, your webpage will be good to go.

It should look something like this:

#header > h3 {margin: 0;}
