Outlook creates unnecessary spacing within tables in emails

Despite all my efforts, I am facing an issue with Outlook adding an unwanted gap after one of my tables in my responsive email design. I have tried various solutions such as adding border-collapse:collapse, dividing tables, and using block styling for images, but none seem to be effective. Any assistance or advice on how to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You can access the HTML here. For a visual representation of the issue, refer to the image example here.

Answer №1

Why not assign the float property to tables, it's advisable to create 2 columns and place each table in its own column.

It's worth noting that Outlook.com completely eliminates margin and float support.

Answer №2

For a cleaner design, I recommend following the example of antwort and utilizing table columns set to full-width display: block; with media queries (instead of having tables floating alongside each other).

Check out the revised HTML here. Keep in mind that it's untested and might require additional adjustments, as email clients can be quite challenging to work with.
