Layer two distinct divs on a webpage

Looking for assistance in merging a button and panel div in CSS. The button is designed to be reusable across multiple pages, but now the requirement is to place it inside the header of a panel on a specific page. Can anyone guide me on how to achieve this?

Button code:

<div>
  <p class=""><span class="fa fa-star"></span>Mark Read</p>
</div>

Panel code:

<div class="container">

  <div class="panel panel-default">
    <div class="panel-heading">Panel Heading</div>
    <div class="panel-body">Panel Content</div>
    <div class="panel-footer">Panel Footer</div>
  </div>
</div>

Answer №1

To simplify your code, you can move the content into the heading section and eliminate one of the unnecessary div elements.
