If you wish to customize the appearance of all H1 elements under specific Ids, you will need to individually define the styling for each one since they do not have anything in common:
#foo h1, #ball h1, #tree h1 {color: #892828;}
What you originally suggested is similar to this:
#foo {color: #892828;}
#ball {color: #892828;}
#tree h1 {color: #892828;}
Another option is to give all the h1 elements the same class and then customize their style using that specific class.
:is(#bar, #apple, #plant) h1 {color: #892828;}
This technique is compatible with any ID, eliminating the necessity for prefixing and attribute selectors. The CSS pseudo-class :is() is now recognized by all popular browsers.
