I require underscores to be distinctly separated

Can anyone suggest a font or CSS style that will help me display underscores in a way that makes it easy for users to count how many characters they need to fill in to meet the length requirement?

I'm struggling because the underscores aren't spaced out, and I want to find a solution that is user-friendly.

Answer №1

To add space between characters in an element, you can simply apply the CSS property letter-spacing: 0.4em;. If you are working with an input element, the code would look like this:

input {
    letter-spacing: 0.4em; /* adjust measurement as needed */
}

Check out this JS Fiddle demo for a visual example.

Answer №2
