Enhancing nvd3 Visualizations

Having some difficulty styling this nvd3 line chart. Despite getting most of it to look how I want, the tight margin between the y-axis labels and the chart is driving me mad. I managed to adjust the x-axis labels with negative line-spacing, but that trick won't work for y. I've experimented with word-spacing, but no luck there either.

Another challenge is targeting the vertical line on the far left. I simply want to change its color to match the light gray horizontal lines.

Any suggestions on how to tackle these issues?

It seems like the reason your question hasn't received much interest is because you haven't included any code or a screenshot. If 'n' represents the name of your chart, you can add space for the y-axis label using the following code:

n$chart(margin = list(left = 100))
