Enhance your Divi theme with Elegant Themes: Explore mobile-friendly background image zoom effects

I have a regular section module with an image as the background. The design looks great on desktop but appears zoomed in and blurry on mobile devices. I'm struggling to understand why the mobile view is not adjusting properly, and I am unsure if there are specific steps I need to take to make the image more mobile-friendly. If you visit our test website and scroll down to the last section before the footer, you can see the issue for yourself by comparing the desktop and mobile views.

Answer №1

The reason for this behavior is due to the background-size property being set to cover for that specific section. This causes the background image to expand in size until it completely covers both the width and height of its containing element. Since the height of your section is substantial, the image has to scale up significantly to fit within it. To address this issue on smaller devices, you can adjust the height of the section so that the image scales down accordingly.

To accomplish this, you can assign a unique class or id to the section within your page builder and then use media queries in your stylesheet to target and modify its dimensions specifically for smaller screens.
