Do any iOS web browsers via CSS support OpenType font characteristics?

OpenType features are supported by the current version of desktop Chrome using CSS.

1) According to my testing, OpenType features are not supported by Safari or Chrome on iOS 5. Is this accurate? (I have confirmed that the -webkit-font-feature-settings CSS tags are correct, as they work in desktop Chrome.)

2) Has the support for OpenType features changed with iOS 6?

Answer №1

From what I understand, iOS appears to have limited support for OpenType font features based on this resource. However, I am unsure about the full extent of this support since the information provided is not very detailed, and I do not have access to any iOS devices to test it myself.
