css styles for URLs that are sensitive to letter case

I'm currently at a loss for solutions as I can't seem to pinpoint the reason behind this peculiar behavior. I'm using Orchard CMS 1.4 along with a customized superfish stylesheet. Interestingly, the behavior varies depending on how the site is accessed. Our client has created a theme which is showcased on a simple website located at the following URL.

When you visit this URL, you'll see the menu with an image from

This particular image serves as the background of the menu when it's not being hovered over.

However, after visiting the URL, if you click on the Home button and observe the URL transform into:

(please note the capital A)

Does anyone have any insights into why the background image isn't displaying? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

It seems like there may be a conflict with the background-image due to another CSS style taking precedence:

//This snippet is located in "/Acceptatie-1.0.1/ (Line 51)"

#menu-24.sf-menu li.selected, #menu-24.sf-menu li.current {
    background: #F1F1F1 !important;
}

This issue could also be related to the Layout files, especially if you are using URL Alternatives for different page layouts.

(It's worth noting that Orchard CMS can sometimes struggle with URLs containing certain characters like hyphens, so that might be contributing to the problem.)
