What steps should I take to improve font rendering in IE8 when using the jquery Isotope plugin?

I have been using Desandro's isotope plugin with great success, but I'm experiencing some issues with the text rendering in IE8.

Since my main focus is on fixing this problem for IE8 only, I would like to know if there is a way to resolve it. If not, what specific functionality should I consider disabling to avoid the issue?

If you need more information and examples, check out this link: Problem with poor font rendering with CSS3 transitions, jQuery, & Google Fonts

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

Check out this link to Isotope's author discussing font rendering issues, specifically in the "Pitfalls and issues" section. I recall that the problem was associated with CSS transitions, and adding a background color seemed to resolve it. Additionally, you may find a solution by referring to this question on SO; the issue described there also seems to be related to CSS transitions, if my memory serves me right.
