What is the best way to incorporate an image into the Bootstrap navbar-brand without it appearing as a broken image

I'm struggling to figure out how to get my image to show up in the navigation bar. Should I add a div tag or another class? What CSS adjustments do I need to make? I'm still new to Bootstrap, so any guidance is appreciated!

<nav class="navbar navbar-b navbar-trans navbar-expand-md fixed-top" id="mainNav">
    <div class="container-fluid">
      <a class="navbar-brand js-scroll" href="#page-top" >
        <img src="img/Signature2.png" id="brand-image" class="img-fluid"/>
      </a>
      <button class="navbar-toggler collapsed" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarDefault" aria-controls="navbarDefault" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">
        <span></span>
        <span></span>
        <span></span>
      </button>
      <div class="navbar-collapse collapse justify-content-end" id="navbarDefault">
        <ul class="navbar-nav">
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link js-scroll active" href="index.html">Home</a>
          </li>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link js-scroll" href="#about">About</a>
          </li>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link js-scroll" href="#work">Projects</a>
          </li>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link js-scroll" href="#blog">Art</a>
          </li>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link js-scroll" href="#contact">Contact</a>
          </li>
        </ul>
      </div>
    </div>
  </nav>

Answer №1

After trying out your code and substituting it with a different image (due to having no access to yours), I found that it functions properly. This suggests that the issue might lie in the file path you are specifying.

Is the folder containing the images located at the same level as the HTML document you are referencing? Have you double-checked the naming of both the folder and the image itself?
