What is the best way to determine the position of an element with text content

Currently facing an issue with positioning in my project. Attached is a snapshot of my desired layout.

I've tried creating a starburst effect and adding text using this code: jsfiddle link, but I'm struggling to position the elements correctly like my reference image right: 0; position: relative. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Answer №1

In my opinion, what you should consider for your .starburst5 is:

position: absolute;
top: 0;
right: 0;

Remember to remove the attribute with position: relative; from both the HTML element and CSS.

Answer №2

Incorporate the float property for the anchor tag and text, then specify the text width

Answer №3

Utilized for relative and absolute positioning

To set your main container with position relative and set your sub-element

position absolute

like so

.main-container{
     position:relative;
     padding-right:100px;
 }
.sub-element{
        position: absolute;
        right:0;
        top:20px;
}
