What could be causing the horizontal scroll bar to appear on my website?

I've noticed a horizontal scroll bar appearing on three out of my seven website pages, and I'm not sure why. Initially, I suspected it was due to the footer section, so I made adjustments to rule that out as the cause. While this helped resolve the issue on my landing page, the problem persisted on the following pages:

home, story, venue

After thoroughly checking, I can confirm that the only stylesheet applied is style.css, but the source of the problem still eludes me. Any guidance or assistance in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

I have cross-checked for any instances where width=100% might be causing the issue, but haven't found anything relevant yet. Despite reading through various posts, no obvious solutions have jumped out at me.

Answer №1

Revise the footer markup to have the container outside the row, not inside.

<footer>
 <div class="row">
  <div class="container">

instead of

<footer>
 <div class="container">
  <div class="row">
