What could be causing my Bootstrap 4.0 beta to malfunction?

I recently downloaded Bootstrap 4.0 beta from getbootstrap.com and included the CSS & js files from the dist folder. However, I noticed that some styles such as navbar, hidden, and visible are not working properly. Do I need to include any additional files or folders like the sass folder in my Bootstrap setup? I have double-checked the paths for my CSS, JS, and jQuery files and they seem correct. Can someone please provide guidance on this issue?

It seems like you're exploring Bootstrap 4.0 beta and looking to utilize file paths to access it. You actually don't need to download SASS for that. If you only require basic features, you can simply follow the 'quick start guide' provided by Bootstrap at https://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/getting-started/introduction/.

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html lang="en">
      <head>
        <!-- Required meta tags -->
        <meta charset="utf-8">
        <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, shrink-to-fit=no">

        <!-- Bootstrap CSS -->
        <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0-beta/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-/Y6pD6FV/Vv2HJnA6t+vslU6fwYXjCFtcEpHbNJ0lyAFsXTsjBbfaDjzALeQsN6M" crossorigin="anonymous">
      </head>
      <body>
        <h1>Hello, world!</h1>

        <!-- Optional JavaScript -->
        <!-- jQuery first, then Popper.js, then Bootstrap JS -->
        <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.2.1.slim.min.js" integrity="sha384-KJ3o2DKtIkvYIK3UENzmM7KCkRr/rE9/Qpg6aAZGJwFDMVNA/GpGFF93hXpG5KkN" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
        <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/popper.js/1.11.0/umd/popper.min.js" integrity="sha384-b/U6ypiBEHpOf/4+1nzFpr53nxSS+GLCkfwBdFNTxtclqqenISfwAzpKaMNFNmj4" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
        <script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0-beta/js/bootstrap.min.js" integrity="sha384-h0AbiXch4ZDo7tp9hKZ4TsHbi047NrKGLO3SEJAg45jXxnGIfYzk4Si90RDIqNm1" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
      </body>
    </html>

Start with this setup first. As you progress, you can later explore and implement specific components as needed.
