Ways to align the content in the middle of a div with CSS

My website is functioning perfectly on large devices, but I am facing an issue when trying to center the icon below the slider on mobile devices. I have used the following code in the icn class:

.icn{
margin:0 auto;
}

However, the icon is not centered as expected. You can view my website at www.devmakk.com/tution

Answer №1

To ensure centered content displays correctly, a width must be applied to it when using display:block.

.icn{
    margin:0 auto;
    width:20px;
    display:block; // this is required.
}

If not using display:block, the parent container can simply have text-align:center; applied to it.

Answer №2

To center your text, simply use the style text-align:center. If you share your code on a fiddle platform, I can help test it for you.

Answer №3

Make sure to set the icon's display property to block in order for it to be visible, like this:

.icon {
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto;
}

Remember, if you don't use display:block, the icon won't show up correctly.

Answer №4

Here's a suggestion for you to attempt:

.icn{
margin-Left:auto;
margin-Right:auto;
}
