Trouble with displaying the bootstrap navbar correctly

My journey of learning Django has just begun. I recently started working on my first Bootstrap template, but unfortunately, the navbar isn't displaying properly. While I plan to continue with my Django learning process, this issue is currently bothering me. Any assistance in solving it would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a snippet from the template:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
    <!-- The above 3 meta tags *must* come first in the head; any other head content must come *after* these tags -->
    <title>{% block title %}page one {% endblock %}</title>

    <!-- Bootstrap -->
    <link href="css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet">

    <!-- HTML5 shim and Respond.js for IE8 support of HTML5 elements and media queries -->

      <script src="https://oss.maxcdn.com/respond/1.4.2/respond.min.js"></script>
    <![endif]-->
  </head>
  <body>
    <nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md navbar-light bg-faded">
      <button class="navbar-toggler navbar-toggler-right" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarNavAltMarkup" aria-controls="navbarNavAltMarkup" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">

      </button>
      <a class="navbar-brand" href="#">Navbar</a>
      <div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="navbarNavAltMarkup">

Assuming you are working with bootstrap 4, it is recommended to utilize the CDN instead of local files. The issue may be arising from the server's restricted access to files outside the index.html directory. Easily resolve this by switching to Bootstrap 4 CDN

Make the following replacements:

Answer №2

Replace your previous link sheet line with this alternative.

<link href="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/<a href="/cdn-cgi/l/email-protection" class="__cf_email__" data-cfemail="c1b9bbb6bbe0b8bfbabdbec4edbdbdbbb5">[email protected]</a>/dist/css/bootstrap.min.css" rel="stylesheet" >

Give this a try, it should fix any issues you were experiencing with Bootstrap.
