Tips for perfectly aligning content or divs in the center

I tried using vertical-align: middle; to no avail. I'd prefer not to resort to margin-top: 80px.

To ensure the height of the box remains constant and only allows for one line of text, you can utilize the following CSS rule:

.center div {line-height: 200px;}
