The image appears fuzzy until you hover over it and it transforms into a larger size

Encountering a strange issue with using the zoom property on an image during hover state. The image seems to be blurry before and after the scale transition, but surprisingly sharp during the actual transition. Any tips on how to prevent this blurriness in CSS would be greatly appreciated!

Already tested multiple methods suggested in other forum posts.

Answer №1

To enhance your image, consider implementing transform: scale(1.5); in place of the current

transform: scale3d(1.5, 1.5, 1.5);
. The scale3d property may be causing blurriness.

Answer №2

Unfortunately, the images in the link example provided are not visible to me at this time. It is possible that the issue may be related to either the file format or a sub-pixel division error.

Have you checked if the images contain a decimal point in their width/height?

You might want to experiment with adding a very small number to their resting position between transitions. For instance, instead of transitioning from 1 to 1.5, consider trying 1.001 to 1.5001.
