The div is struggling to contain the image, can anyone assist with this issue?

Greetings all! I am a beginner with CSS and currently working on my website. You can check it out at this link.

I am facing an issue where the image on my site is not fitting properly and it keeps repeating. Can anyone guide me on how to fix this using CSS?

Thank you in advance!

Answer №1

To make the background properties work, simply include !important.

.section-title {
        background-position: center top !important;
        background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
        background-size: cover !important;
    /*additional styles go here*/
}

Update:

The issue appears only on larger screens. To fix this, you can either adjust the background-size property or add:

background-attachment: fixed !important;

Answer №2

Employ these CSS background attributes in conjunction with your existing background CSS attribute to prevent image repetition.

background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: cover;
background-position: 100% 30%;

Answer №3

To ensure proper styling, it is important to set the background-image and background-color properties separately rather than together. Failure to separate them may result in unexpected behavior where background-repeat: no-repeat; will be overridden by background-repeat-x: initial; and background-repeat-y: initial;.

Inline:

<section class="page-title-section" style="background-image:url('https://cvowebdesigner.be/22652/Yasin%20Altintas/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/test-1.jpg'); background-color: #17212c;">

With CSS:

background-image: url('https://cvowebdesigner.be/22652/Yasin%20Altintas/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/test-1.jpg');
background-color: #17212c;
