The alignment of the image and text is misaligned, not centered in the

I have attempted various "Display" parameters in CSS but none seem to properly align the content. Can someone please assist me in resolving this issue?

<div id="fadeshow2toggler" style="text-align:center; width:290px;">
    <a href="#" class="prev"><img src="http://i31.tinypic.com/302rn5v.png"/></a>
    <div class="status">1 of 1</div>
    <a href="#" class="next"><img src="http://i30.tinypic.com/lzkux.png"/></a>
</div>

Answer №1

The alignment of the display will not be affected.

Here is a possible solution:

<style type="text/css>
    .prev, .next, .status{float:right;}
</style>

Answer №2

Give this a shot:

<center>
    <div id="fadeshow2toggler" style="text-align:center; width:290px;">
        <a href="#" class="prev"><img src="http://i31.tinypic.com/302rn5v.png"/></a>
        <div class="status">1 of 1</div>
        <a href="#" class="next"><img src="http://i30.tinypic.com/lzkux.png"/></a>
    </div>
</center>

Answer №3

Is it possible for you to alter the HTML code? If yes, consider adding a container for the two anchor tags and the div as shown below

<div id="fadeshow2toggler" style="width:290px;">
<div class="linkscontainer">
    <a href="#" class="prev"><img src="http://i31.tinypic.com/302rn5v.png"/></a>
    <div class="status">1 of 1</div>
    <a href="#" class="next"><img src="http://i30.tinypic.com/lzkux.png"/></a>
</div>
</div>

Furthermore, apply the following CSS styles

.linkscontainer{
  margin:0px auto;
  min-width:50%;
}

.status{
  display:inline;
}
