Setting up a CSS Grid development environment for Windows users

Currently, I am looking to update my website development environment. Despite using Adobe Dreamweaver out of habit, I need a more efficient setup that can offer the following:

  • An editor with syntax highlighting, code/tag completion, and code hints for writing HTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL code.
  • A browser window that automatically updates to reflect changes made in the code window upon saving.
  • Support for all major browsers, with the ability to choose which one is displayed in the window.
  • The option to adjust the width of the browser window to test the responsiveness of the code.
  • Compatibility with the latest CSS features, such as CSS Grid and Flexbox.
  • Designed for Windows 10 environment; not interested in integrating Linux (WSL).
  • Potential use of XAMP/WAMP environment for local testing of PHP/MySQLi code.
  • Preference for free or low-cost programs due to budget constraints, but willing to invest in necessary tools.

An essential requirement is seamless integration within a Windows 10 environment, particularly emphasizing the simultaneous display of code and browser windows in the editor.

I understand this may be subjective and potentially controversial, but I am in need of guidance to explore suitable alternatives. Thus far, my online searches have not yielded fruitful results.
