Struggling to make a CSS image rollover navigation bar and having trouble positioning the images correctly. Seeking assistance in resolving this issue.
One thing that immediately catches your eye is the attempt to utilize position:absolute without specifying the position of the parent container. For absolute positioning to function properly, the parent element must have a position other than the default static setting.
Additionally, there seems to be an overuse of display:block in instances where it is unnecessary (LI elements are already block-level) or not applicable since the menu items are being displayed inline. The use of display:block introduces a line break after the element being displayed as a block.
The hover areas of the navigation bar are not properly aligned. Perhaps consider applying some margin to achieve the desired positioning?
