Move the dropdown selection above all DIV elements

Check out this link:

Make sure to select an option from the dropdown menu. Also, some of the options are hidden behind other elements.

I noticed that if I target .join-form and remove overflow: hidden, the layout of the page becomes distorted.

Can anyone assist me in resolving this issue?

Thank you for your help.

Answer №1

The issue lies within the CSS code provided below:

media="screen"
.join-form {
position: relative;
overflow: hidden;
}
index2.htmlmedia="screen"
.join-form {
position: relative;
overflow: hidden;
}
index2.htmlmedia="screen"
section {
overflow: hidden;
}

Please remove the overflow: hidden from all of these styles. Increasing the z-index will not make any difference on your page if it is completely hidden.

Answer №2

The issue with your .join-form is that it has the CSS property of overflow:hidden, which is causing it not to display properly. Changing it to overflow:visible will make your drop-down visible, but it may also have some unintended side effects.

Answer №3

.customSelector {
    z-index: 9999;
}

That solution should be effective.

If, by any chance, it fails to work, apply a position value of absolute, relative, or fixed to the parent element of your dropdown.

Answer №4

Make sure the z-index of the dropdown is set higher than the z-index of the div element
