Modify how various classes are shown when hovering over a pseudo class

This is my customized scss code

  .image-container {
    position: relative;
    .delete-image {
      display: none;
      position: absolute;
      top: 0px;
      right: 0px;
    }
    .make-primary {
      display: none;
      position: absolute;
      top: 0px;
      right: 97px;
    }
    &:hover .delete-image {
      display: block;
      }
  }

I am trying to make both .make-primary and .delete-image visible when hovering over the container.

I attempted to achieve this with:

&:hover .delete-image .make-primary{
          display: block;
          }

as well as

&:hover .delete-image, .make-primary {
          display: block;
          }

The first method does not show either element, while the second one only displays .delete-image on hover and keeps .make-primary always visible. I'm looking for the correct syntax to make both elements appear on hover. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

Answer №1

To achieve the desired result, you have a couple of options:

&:hover{
    .delete-image, .make-primary {
        display: block;
     }
}

You can also apply &:hover directly to each class like this:

&:hover .delete-image, &:hover .make-primary {
   display: block;
}
