Is there a way to display tags on hover and darken an image on hover as well?

Currently, I am using a theme that does not include the feature to display tags when hovering or darken images and gifs on hover. You can view the theme here.

I would like to modify my theme to show tags similar to this example theme:

If anyone could assist me with implementing these changes, I would greatly appreciate it!

Answer №1

Utilizing the latest in CSS3 technology, we can create a smooth font-size transition effect. To implement this on your website, simply insert the following code snippet into your custom CSS:

#tags{
    font-size: 0px;
    -webkit-transition: font-size 1s;
    -moz-transition: font-size 1s;
    -o-transition: font-size 1s;
    -ms-transition: font-size 1s;
    transition: font-size 1s;
}

.post:hover #tags{
    font-size: 9px;
}

Answer №2

<style>
img:hover
{
background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.7);
}
</style>

Answer №3

#element:hover {
    /*add your custom style here*/
}
#element:hover #element-you-want-to-style {
    /*include your desired style here*/
}
