Is it Possible to Craft a Dropdown Navigation Menu with the Nav Element?

Currently, I am in the process of developing a website for a stock plan home designer. I need to design a navigation bar using the nav tag, but unfortunately, I have been unable to find any resources online that provide guidance on how to achieve this. If you have any suggestions or advice on how to proceed with creating a nav bar using the nav tag, I would greatly appreciate it.

Make sure to take a look at this, however, you'll need to incorporate some CSS.

/* Your custom CSS code goes here */

</style>
</head>
<body>

<nav class="navbar">
  <a href="#home">Home</a>
  <a href="#news">News</a>
  <div class="dropdown">
    <button class="dropbtn">Dropdown
      <i class="fa fa-caret-down"></i>
    </button>
    <div class="dropdown-content">
      <a href="#">Link 1</a>
      <a href="#">Link 2</a>
      <a href="#">Link 3</a>
    </div>
  </div>
</nav>
