Is it feasible to block indent the second line of a URL?

Is there a way to indent a second line of a URL so that it aligns perfectly with the first letter of the sentence? I attempted using <ul>, but encountered issues as it inherited small text and bullet points from the main .css file.

Check out this link . At the bottom right, you'll see 3 bullet points under "Exclusive Vatican Experiences" that are not in line.

*Update: The test site has been updated with <ul> tags. The text is now aligned with the bullets, although they appear squashed.

Answer №1

For creating an unordered list, it is recommended to use

<ul> <li> ...</li></ul>
instead of
<p><a>...</a></p>
. When you utilize <ul>..</ul>, the output will appear like this: Demo

CSS:

ul {
    padding:0;
    margin:0;
    list-style-type: square;
}

Edit:

I have tested it and found that the following code works correctly:

    <div class="subvmtext"> Dark Rome has exclusive one-of-a-kind tours to make your Vatican experience most memorable
 <ul>
  <li> <a style="color: #000000" href="/vatican-tours/vatican-breakfast"> IP Early Breakfast inside the Vatican Museums with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. </a></li>
  <li> <a style="color: #000000"
    href="/tours/vatican-tours/vatican-sistine-express-and-st-peters"> Express Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, and Vatican Crypt Tour.</a> </li>
  <li> <a style="color: #000000"
href="/tours/vatican-tours/extended-vatican-museum-tour-with-bramante-staircase"> Extended Sistine Chapel Vatican Museums Tour with Bramante
   Staircase and St. Peter's.</a></li>
 </ul>
</div>

Answer №2

To manipulate the appearance of a ul element, one approach is to apply a new class:

<ul class="newclass">
    ...
</ul>

Next, use CSS to make styling adjustments:

ul.newclass li a { font-weight: bold;}

If modifying external CSS files is not an option, consider adding inline styles:

<ul>
    <li>
        <a style="font-weight: bold">...</a>
    </li>
</ul>

This way, you avoid affecting other ul elements elsewhere on your website.

Hope this suggestion proves helpful!
