Header Customization and Post Layout on Tumblr

In my recent purchase, I acquired the Margaret Studio theme from themecloset on Tumblr.

Upon adding my own logo, it unexpectedly resulted in the first image on my blog being cut off with a white strip that seems to be the 'background' of my logo (even though it's a transparent png). I am eager to find a solution to this issue.

One possible solution that comes to mind is to increase the space between my header and the first post. Is there a way to implement this change?

Answer №1

If you need to add some space between elements in a vertical arrangement, one way to do it is by applying a margin-top:2%; to the element below.

If you can pinpoint the specific <div> element you want to move down, you can add inline styling directly to the div:

<div style="margin-top:2%;">

Alternatively, if you have access to the CSS, you can assign an id to the div and set the margin that way:

<div id="divIWantToMove">

Then in the CSS stylesheet:

#divIWantToMove {
    margin-top:2%;
}

You can experiment with different spacing options using the resources available on the W3 schools website :)

(Feel free to adjust the 2% to any other value to achieve the desired amount of spacing)
