Full height Footer using Flash and HTML

Seeking advice:

I successfully implemented a Flash object with 100% height and width on an HTML page. However, I am struggling to add an HTML footer that stays fixed at the bottom of the page.

Attempts made: I have tried various solutions, searched on Google, and sought advice from friends, but all my efforts have been unsuccessful.

Appreciate any help!

Answer №1

Things required:

Footer { position: absolute; bottom: 0; left: 0; right: 0; height: certain pixels; }

On the main container element, setting a margin-bottom of -certain pixels will prevent it from overlapping with the footer. Alternatively, you can avoid using that section of the flash canvas and keep it at 100% height.

You might need to assign the same z-index value, for example, z-index: 100; to both elements in order to ensure they do not overlap when using the first solution.

Answer №2

To resolve this issue, consider incorporating a position absolute or fixed element onto the webpage. Sharing the specific code you have attempted will greatly assist others in providing guidance rather than just listing your attempts.

It is likely necessary to utilize JavaScript for implementation. Create an event listener that reacts to a resize event, adjusting the size of the flash-containing div accordingly. Ensure that the height is set to the window's height minus the footer's height.

Answer №3

footer {
  position: absolute;
  bottom: 0;
  left: 0;
  right: 0;
  height: "adjustable according to the content";
}
