I recently integrated a module into my Magento website to manage the read more or less functionality as discussed in this post:

How to add jquery readmore function (expand/collapse) to magento CMS pages

However, I am currently experiencing two issues:

  1. The text is getting cut off by the browser (example image here). I am looking for a solution that will work on all resolutions.

  2. I am struggling to control the styling of the links (size, position, color) using CSS. It seems impossible to achieve the desired look.

Here is my Magento store

Can anyone assist me with resolving these issues?

Answer №1

If you aim to ensure that the collapsed window adjusts its height correctly across different viewport sizes, you will need to set it to match the height of elements like the first paragraph.

 $(document).ready(function(){
     var initialHeight = $('#readomore-demo').find("p:first").height();
     $('.readmore-js-collapsed').css("height", initialHeight);
 });

Applying styles to the links should be straightforward since they come with a predefined class.
