Designing GWT FlexTable using pure CSS styling

Is there a way to style a GWT FlexTable using CSS alone? The API doesn't provide information on available CSS classes.

Are there no predefined classes and do I need to define them myself?

I am particularly interested in styling the "th" element.

Answer №1

When utilizing FlexTable, an extension of HTMLTable, it seems that specific styles are not automatically applied to the cells it contains. To address this issue, there are two recommended approaches:

  1. To style the cells, apply a CSS class to the parent FlexTable element and utilize descendant selectors (e.g., .myFlexTable th {}).
  2. Alternatively, you can employ the CellFormatter from Google Web Toolkit to individually assign custom style names to cells within the FlexTable.
