Design interactive elements such as buttons and input fields inspired by the layout of Google websites

Does anyone know how to achieve the sleek, lightweight buttons and text boxes seen on Google's web pages like Google Search, Google Plus, and Google Play? I am currently using JSP and CSS, but I am open to incorporating jQuery if necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

To replicate a Google search button, you can utilize the following code to generate unique buttons.

<div class="input-box">
    <input type="text" value="" placeholder="Enter search text here" class="input-1" />
    <input type="submit" value=" Search " class="input-2" />
</div>

For styling, apply the following CSS rules:

.input-1, .input-2{
    display: inline-block;
    height: 100%;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    float: left;
    -webkit-box-sizing: border-box;
    -moz-box-sizing: border-box;
    box-sizing: border-box;
}
.input-1{
    width: 70%;
}
.input-2{
    width: 30%;
}
.input-box{
    height: 32px;
    width: 200px;
}
