CSS code preventing hyperlink from functioning

My website is almost complete, but I'm running into an issue with some hyperlinks on my event registration page. The first link works fine, but the second one does not. To troubleshoot, I created a test page with just the two links and still encountered the same problem. It seems to be related to the CSS, as when I use a blank master page without any CSS tied to it, the links work properly. Despite this, the rest of my website functions correctly with one master page and one CSS file. Here is the link to the problematic page:

Answer №1

An element with an absolute positioning is currently covering the link:

<span class="shadow-bottom"></span>

The CSS related to this element is as follows:

#footer span.shadow-bottom {
    background: url(images/main-shadow-bottom.png) repeat-x 0 0;
    top: -46px;
    left: 0;
    position: absolute;
    width: 100%;
    height: 46px;
    z-index: 20;
    display: block;
}

To resolve the issue, adjust the positioning of the <span> so that it no longer overlaps with the link.

Answer №2

The positioning of your #footer span.shadow-bottom at top:-47px is causing it to overlap with your link. To fix this, consider adding some padding to your main content or a top margin to your footer.
