Bug with Image Scaling on iPhone 6+ in Unsemantic Grid

Check out this website:

I need help fixing the responsive images on iPhone6. Which CSS code is missing? Is this a specific grid bug affecting iPhone 6+ only?

When testing the website on different viewports, everything appears fine. However, when my brother viewed it on his iPhone 6+, the images were not responsive. Browser stack confirmed the issue.

Some of the tools I use to test viewport are:

  • Native F12 Chrome Inspect Element

My brother sent me three screenshots from his iPhone 6 using the Power + Home Button technique. The website seems to be working perfectly when viewed in any of the above-mentioned tools.

Answer №1

This isn't just specific to iPhone 6 Plus, it's a mobile issue in general. It seems like your viewport initial-scale hasn't been properly set in the head section of your code.

<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1">

Give that a try and see if it helps.

Answer №2

Per @SeanStopnik's recommendation, consider including the meta tag in your html code :

<html>
    <head>
        <meta name="viewport" content="width = device-width, initial-scale=1" />
    </head>
</html>

The viewport tag was actually created by Apple for the iPhone
