Are Your Padding Styles Missing?

I've noticed that the text under the photos on this page in the main section (a.event) is not displaying the 5px padding top and bottom. Any suggestions for fixing this? Thank you! =)

a.event {
width:315px;
height:auto;
border:0;
padding: 5px 0;
}

Answer №1

Wrapping the image and text within a tag causes padding to appear above the image and below the text.

Utilizing Firebug is an effective method for examining rendered HTML and quickly identifying these types of errors.

Answer №2

Surround the content with <p>...</p>

Next, in your stylesheet:

a.event p {
padding: 5px 0;
}
