Alter the backdrop of this email template

I'm struggling to replace the blue and grey background of my email template with an image. Any suggestions on how I can achieve this?

Here is the Html Code link for reference

I attempted to modify the body tag, but it didn't result in any changes to the background.

<body leftmargin="0" marginwidth="0" topmargin="0" marginheight="0" offset="0">

Answer №1

Update the background-color for the following css id/class combination:

#preheaderBackground, #templatePreheader, #headerBackground, #templateHeader

Answer №2

Oh my, the structure of nested HTML tables is quite chaotic.

The colors seem to be assigned to different IDs within the tables. I've identified templatePreheader, preheaderBackground, and templateHeader for the blue shades, while templateBody seems to be responsible for the grey. It looks like a nightmare to upkeep - I have a feeling this code was passed down to you from a previous developer.

Answer №3

If you want to change the default blue color, locate the following class in your code:

#preheaderBackground{
            /*@change this*/background-color:#2d539c;
            /*@editable*/border-top:0;
            /*@editable*/border-bottom:0;
        }
You can simply adjust the background-color to any color you desire.

If you wish to modify the gray color, find this class:

#templateBody{
            /*@change this*/background-color:#F5F5F5;
            /*@editable*/border-top:0;
            /*@editable*/border-bottom:0;
        }

Again, feel free to change the background-color to your preferred shade.

Answer №4

If you're looking for a solution, consider trying the following approach:

Check out the Demo

#templatePreheader, #templateHeader,
.preheaderContainer{background:Blue !important}
#templateBody{background:#333 !important}
.mcnTextContentContainer{background:#c0c0c0 !important}
