After the 1.24.1 update, VS Code no longer supports the HTML language mode

Recently, I encountered an issue after updating to the latest version of VS Code (1.24.1). The problem is that VS Code no longer recognizes HTML and fails to highlight or color the syntax properly. Emmet doesn't work, linter is unresponsive... it's like there is zero support for HTML overall. However, CSS and JS seem to be functioning fine, as well as PHP...

Do you think this will be resolved in the next update, or could it possibly be due to a mistake in my settings?
