Adjust the dimensions of the image carousel in Twitter Bootstrap

Here is the code that I am currently working with:

   <div class="col-sm-4">
        <div class="card">
            <div class="card-block">
                <div class="col-sm-4">
                    <div id="carouselExampleIndicators" class="carousel slide" data-ride="carousel">
                        <ol class="carousel-indicators">
                            <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="0" class="active"></li>
                            <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="1"></li>
                            <li data-target="#carouselExampleIndicators" data-slide-to="2"></li>
                        </ol>
                        <div class="carousel-inner" role="listbox">
                            <div class="carousel-item active">
                                <img class="d-block img-fluid"
                                     src="http://www.public-domain-photos.com/free-cliparts-4/computer/actions/ok.png"
                                     alt="First slide">
                            </div>
                            <div class="carousel-item">
                                <img class="d-block img-fluid" src="https://k36.kn3.net/CA1AEE661.jpg"
                                     alt="Second slide">
                            </div>
                            <div class="carousel-item">
                                <img class="d-block img-fluid"
                                     src="http://www.public-domain-photos.com/free-cliparts-4/computer/actions/ok.png"
                                     alt="Third slide">
                            </div>
                        </div>
                        <a class="carousel-control-prev" href="#carouselExampleIndicators" role="button"
                           data-slide="prev">
                            <span class="carousel-control-prev-icon" aria-hidden="true"></span>
                            <span class="sr-only">Previous</span>
                        </a>
                        <a class="carousel-control-next" href="#carouselExampleIndicators" role="button"
                           data-slide="next">
                            <span class="carousel-control-next-icon" aria-hidden="true"></span>
                            <span class="sr-only">Next</span>
                        </a>
                    </div>

                </div>
            </div>
        </div>
    </div>
</div>

I have selected three random images as examples. Although their resolution is higher, they appear smaller in my project.

Whenever I attempt to create my own CSS class instead of using col-sm-4, the carousel functionality ceases to work.

How can I adjust the size of the carousel?

Answer №1

To optimize your code, consider using the item class instead of carousel-item, or use both classes for flexibility. Just ensure that the item class is included at minimum.

Here's an alternative approach:
