Why is my Horizontal Bootstrap Navbar appearing vertically on my website?

Currently developing my portfolio page and aiming to incorporate Bootstrap's horizontal navbar at the top of each webpage.

However, for some reason it is showing up vertically instead of horizontally as intended.

If you're interested, feel free to check out the progress so far on .

Any insights on what might be causing this unexpected display?

Answer №1

It seems like updating your Bootstrap version might solve the issue.

Try replacing this:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/4.0.0-alpha.6/css/bootstrap.min.css" integrity="sha384-rwoIResjU2yc3z8GV/NPeZWAv56rSmLldC3R/AZzGRnGxQQKnKkoFVhFQhNUwEyJ" crossorigin="anonymous">

With this:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/twitter-bootstrap/4.2.1/css/bootstrap.min.css">

By making this change, your CSS should fix itself and your navbar will display correctly.
