When there is no visible content on the mobile website, it starts scrolling horizontally to the right

Why is the website scrolling to the right when there is no content there?

This issue seems to only occur on actual mobile devices when I try to recreate it.

Currently in the process of transferring it over, which is why the link appears as it does.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

Could the issue be related to animations? Perhaps a sliding div during loading is causing your page to expand horizontally. Consider learning more about animations.

Alternatively, in your CSS, you can add the following:

html, body {
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0;
    width: 100%;
    overflow-x: hidden;
}

Answer №2

Give this a shot

Try using overflow-x:hidden;

It could potentially solve the issue you're facing

Answer №3

To help identify the problem, consider adding color to your divs or borders. Utilizing tools like Firebug or similar browser plugins can assist in debugging.
