What is the process for obtaining Style.css, additional CSS, and JavaScript files from a live single page website?

I am currently facing a challenge with a live single page website where I need to make some fixes. Unfortunately, I am unable to access the Style.css file, along with other css and javascript files. Although I managed to save the html file by using Ctrl+s, I am struggling to retrieve the CSS and javascript files associated with the website through the Chrome browser.

Can anyone please provide me with guidance on how I can accomplish this task?

Answer №1

To uncover the sources behind a website in Chrome, simply right-click and select "Inspect." Navigate to the Sources tab where you can explore the Javascript and CSS files being utilized by that specific site.

Answer №2

  1. To begin, right-click on any page.
  2. Next, select "view page source".
  3. Look for CSS and JavaScript codes in the designated section.
  4. An alternative approach is to search for ".css" and ".js" within the page source.

Note: Remember to exclude quotes when conducting your search.

Answer №3

You have the option to directly insert your files into the head section.

<html>
  <head>
    <title>form working</title>

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="your_filename_path.css">
    <script src="your_js_script_path.js"></script>
  </head>
<html>
