What is the best way to align the navigation bar to the left using bootstrap?

I'm having trouble creating a navigation bar for my website using bootstrap 5. I tried to move the bar to the left by adding the class margin left auto (ml-auto), but it didn't work as expected. Can someone help me figure out why? Thank you in advance!

             <li class="nav-item">

    </nav>
</body>

The use of ml.auto or mr.auto for setting margins in Bootstrap v5 is now deprecated. Instead, you should utilize ms.auto and me.auto.

ms and me represent "margin start" and "margin end" respectively.

[Refer to the Bootstrap v5.1 documentation for more information on auto margins] https://getbootstrap.com/docs/5.1/utilities/flex/#auto-margins

<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-lg navbar-dark bg-dark">
    <a class="navbar-brand" href="">tindog</a>
    <ul class="navbar-nav ms-auto">
        <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link" href="#">Contact</a>
         </li>
         <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link"href="#">Pricing</a>
         </li>
         <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link" href="#">Download</a>
         </li>
    </ul>
</nav>

It appears that you have placed your brand name within the navbar class, causing it to align to the left of the navbar. To address this issue, consider placing your brand name in a separate div element. This will allow the ml-auto attribute to function as intended.
