What could be causing my page to appear differently in medium resolutions with Bootstrap 4?

When viewing my basic Bootstrap 4 webpage on a medium screen size, there appears to be a blank space on the right side.

Answer №1

The issue arises from the negative value assigned to the property margin-right: -15px; within the card-deck class, which is triggered by the media query @media (min-width: 576px). Adjusting the margin right to 0 should resolve the problem.

@media (min-width: 576px)
.card-deck {
margin-right: 0px;
}

Answer №2

You might want to consider placing it within a div with the class "container" or "container-fluid"

Answer №3

There seems to be an issue with the "card-deck" class causing the page to shift slightly to the right. To fix this, simply include the following inline style in the HTML:

style="margin-right:15px;"

After adding the style, the updated code will look like this:

<div class="card-deck" style="margin-right:15px;">

Answer №4

The specific design requirement for the card-deck section is not clearly defined, but here are two possible suggestions:

  1. Eliminate the margin-left and margin-right properties. This will prevent the borders of the cards from reaching the edges of the screen, creating a layout similar to the standard Bootstrap design.
  2. Similar to the previous point, remove the side margins of the card-deck and also set the left margin of the first card and the right margin of the last card to 0. This will maintain the current design where the cards in the section touch the edges of the screen, if that is the desired outcome.
