Ways to replace inline styles with print CSS?

While inline styles are often considered "evil", can they still be inserted into HTML using JavaScript (such as jQuery animation)?

Answer №1

Consider this:

  <div style="background: red;">
        The inline styling of this div will give it a red color.
    </div>

However, you have the ability to override it with:

div[style] {
   background: yellow !important;
}

Remember that !important can be added to any CSS property

Answer №2

Consider incorporating !important after the color value and before the semi-colon in your printing style sheet:

body {
    background-color: #0f0 !important;
}
