Vagrant Nimble Selections

Can anyone explain why my navigation bar is appearing below the header instead of beside the logo?

I dedicated an entire day yesterday to designing a page with the same layout. Everything is identical in terms of design and coding, except that I initially used Dreamweaver fixed pixels (or liquid layout, but I believe it was fixed). However, after watching a course on Lynda.com, I decided to recreate it using Dreamweaver's new fluid grid layout, which I actually prefer much more (despite never having used it before).

I have attempted various solutions (such as aligning the logo image to the left) without success.

Screenshot:

Comment: When entering inspect mode and resizing the header div, the menu shrinks, indicating that it recognizes it is part of the header.

P.S. Thank you Danko for providing assistance with the screenshot and allowing it to be posted.

The solution was provided in the comments by David Randall.

I attempted to add the div's logo and menu to elements in the header div in order to align them (floating left). However, this caused both elements to pop out of the header.

David suggested using the following CSS:

overflow: hidden;

Implementing this fixed the issue perfectly.
